Beer Pairings from Lake Chelan Brewery

Lake Chelan has a lot to offer. There’s plenty to see, do, eat, and drink. When you stay at Marina’s Edge, all of it is right on your doorstep. For the visiting beer lovers, a good brew is just a 4-minute walk from your unit! The Lake Chelan Valley might be known for its wine, but you can find a solid pint of beer too. Head down to Lake Chelan Brewery in downtown Manson for lunch or grab a growler to enjoy with a home-cooked meal in your Spaside unit. We’ve compiled a list of Lake Chelan Brewery’s beers and what they’ll pair best with so you don’t have to!

Mackinaw Red Amber Ale

Up first is one of Lake Chelan Brewery’s more complex recipes, their Mackinaw Red Amber ale, named after Lake Chelan’s population of lake trout. The Mackinaw is malty, slightly hoppy, and completely delicious. Although the recipe is complex, it’s easy to pair this beer with a wide array of food! It goes well with everything from chicken to seafood to burgers. This beer sits high on the drinkability scale and you’re sure to enhance any dish by serving this beer alongside it.

Recommended menu item: Buffalo Chicken Sliders.

Devil’s Trail IPA

IPA can be a divisive choice but this well-balanced and smooth beer will impress lovers and skeptics alike. With a blend of citrus and herbal hops, the Devil’s Trail IPA is an ideal pairing for bold flavors, mild blue cheeses, and spicy foods.

Recommended menu item: Jalapeño Baked Cod.

Manson Beach Blonde

Appropriately named after the stunning sunny days in Manson, the Manson Beach Blonde delivers a light, refreshing ale with classic Hefeweizen flavors. It pairs best with lake views and sand between your toes, but we also recommend foods on the lighter side like salad, poultry, and sushi.

Recommended menu item: Fish Tacos.

Prize Fighter Imperial Irish Stout

This full-bodied Irish Stout is smooth, a little sweet, and packed with flavor! This powerful pour is tricky to pair, but a long-aged Gouda or cheddar is a worthy match. But our favorite thing to pair with the Prize Fighter? Vanilla ice cream. Trust us, you can’t go wrong with the bold stout flavors and a scoop of vanilla ice cream to complement it.

Recommended menu item: Stout Float.

Heaven’s Lager

Tinged with grapefruit and brewed with Citra hops, this golden lager is a perfect light drink for those warm days in the sun. The lager’s palate-cleansing quality makes it a great choice to accompany cheese plates and light spreads. A mild white cheddar will go wonderfully with the Heaven’s Lager. For meals, stick to lighter foods so you don’t overpower the refreshing flavors of the lager and you’ll be good to go!

Recommended menu item: Pepperjack Chicken Sandwich.

Whether you’re dining in or grabbing a growler to go, you’ll be well-equipped for a successful meal paired with good brews! Cheers!
