The Perfect Winter Vacation on Lake Chelan
Wine Tasting
It’s hard to believe that Chelan and Manson haven’t always been known for making incredible wine, but it’s actually a relatively new development in the last 10 years. Now the valley is home to over 35 wineries and tasting rooms, many within walking distance of our property! Most wineries will waive your tasting fee if you buy a bottle, which means you not only get to taste delicious wines while you’re out and about, but you can also have a bottle to pair with your home-cooked meal when you get back to your unit. Many wineries have reduced tasting hours during the winter, so be sure to call ahead before you go. Not a fan of tasting? Don’t worry, you can purchase a huge variety of local wines right down the road at Manson Bay Market.
Winterfest & Alefest
Winterfest, formerly known by locals as Fire & Ice, has become an event you just can’t miss during your stay on Lake Chelan. The first weekend of Winterfest (January 18-20) is held in Chelan and consists of endless activities including an ice bar, live music, wine walk, and fireworks. The second weekend (January 25-27) is hosted in Manson, just MINUTES from our properties at Marina’s Edge and Wapato View. Winter Sports
For those of you who enjoy blue skies, crisp winter air and getting your blood pumping, there are plenty of winter activities to pique your interest during your stay in Manson. Head up to Echo Valley to ski, snowboard, tube or just enjoy a hot toddy in the lodge. In the same area, enjoy one of the many snowshoe or cross country ski trails…or simply brave the snowy walk to get to downtown Manson!
Hot Tubbing
There’s nothing quite as cozy as a hot tub in the winter. Lucky for you, all of our units have access to a luxury in-ground spa. Want to be able to slip into ultimately relaxation right outside your door? Our Spaside unit is just steps away from the spa!
