4 New Years Resolutions You Can Keep While Visiting Lake Chelan

We hope you all had a wonderful holiday last week. We sure enjoyed a magical white Christmas over at Marina’s Edge, one of the favorite Lake Chelan resorts. As 2015 comes to a close, we’re starting to look forward to what lies ahead in the New Year.

We know it can be tough to keep resolutions after even just a few weeks in January, so instead of testing your self control, we figured we’d make your life a little easier and help you have a guilt-free vacation. There’s no need to worry about maintaining your New Years resolutions while visiting Lake Chelan; here are four you’ll have no problem keeping:

1. Make time to relax.

Snowga at Lake ChelanWe know 2015 has been a busy year, so in the New Year, make time for some much needed R&R. The quaint lakeside village of Manson has fully transformed into a winter paradise with small town charm, crisp alpine air, and stunning natural scenery that will have you rejuvenated in no time and ready to take on the New Year.

If you’re feeling adventurous, check out the new fad Snowga, where you’ll start with calming yoga before heading off on a guided snowshoe trek through the mountains, with stops to do yoga poses in the snow. Yoga can have incredible benefits on your stress level and overall emotional state, and you just can’t beat our alpine setting. Along the way you’ll also enjoy hot yogi tea, snowy scenic views, and additional time to relax and rejuvenate with more yoga at the end.

2. Get fit.

If speeding down hills isn’t quite your cup of tea, you can also check out the annual Snowshoe race on Sunday, January 24. This run/walk includes both a 5k and 10k for all ages and is perfect for getting fit along the beautiful ridges along Lake Chelan while enjoying time with family or friends. There’s no excuse not to keep your fitness resolution if you’re in town for this.

3. Rekindle the romance.
